That's right, the athletic director at the University Of Wisconsin believes that the Big Ten will soon be making a push to add a 12th team. The AD was quoted saying &quot; I have a sense he is going to take this year to be really aggressive about it&quot;. In this quote Alvarez is talking about the Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany.</p><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>With all this talk, the first team to obviously come to everyones mind is Notre Dame. But in the famous words of Lee Corso &quot;Not So Fast My Friend!!&quot; The reason that it is not set that ND would become a part of this conference is because the school has a six year contract with the network of NBC and you better believe that the Big Ten does not want to pick that up therefore this team is not in the mix.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Here is a list of some of the schools that i believe could be a contender in this search are ; Missouri, Syracuse, and Pitt. N</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Now there are plenty of positives and negatives of all these teams but when it comes down to it, adding a 12th team could do no harm to this battered conference. If you add that team it would allow you to split the conference into two seperate divisions and add a conference championship game. Now being a Michigan fan, I love this idea. Apparently, things in Ann Arbor are going from bad to worse for Coach Rod.</span></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Former and current players are now complaining to of all people the NCAA that they are being over worked on the practice field. Boy, someone must want Rich Rodriguez&rsquo;s head on a platter.</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">To have your own players turn you into the NCAA must be a new low for the head coach. How do you continue to want to coach there when you own players are turning against you?</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">It&rsquo;s been a rough ride for Rodriguez since he left West Virginia. First of all his former school tried to sue him for the money he owed them on his broken contract. Then he arrives at Ann Arbor only to the find out that Lloyd Carr didn&rsquo;t exactly stock piled the talent.</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Not to mention you led Michigan to their first losing season in what forever? now this. Either the Michigan are dumb as dirt and have no idea what they just did or they really can&rsquo;t stand their head coach.</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">Let&rsquo;s get real here. Most of your big time programs have off season workouts that technically aren&rsquo;t suppose to take place, but you know the head coaches pretty much hint to players if you want to be on this team next year or even compete for a job, I suggest you get to the weight room or go on the practice field.</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">That&rsquo;s what championship teams do. They work a little bit harder in the offseason to get better. If you have players doing this to their own head coach, this reflects badly not only on the head coach, but the players as well. </span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-size: small;">It sounds to me that Coach Rod has character issues on his team or in this place, lack of character. Players who do this kind of thing don&rsquo;t give a damn about the program. They are more concerned about their own comfort.
